For years I thought I had my heart safely tucked away. But my heart somehow drifted its way into a place I did not know existed. It settled there without my knowledge, and despite the stormy weather, the raging heat, the cold piercing air, it nested itself comfortably. Regardless of what I did and where I went, it nurtured itself to feel a certain way. I can’t explain it because I did not witness its growth. But, there it is. At first a seed, then a sprout, and then a fully blossomed flower that won’t seem to wilt; regardless of what I did and where I went, it nurtured itself to feel a certain way.
